Meet the Faces of Germer
We are a people first company and believe that client satisfaction is the number one priority. We would love for each of you to be able to stop by one of our offices and say, "Hi!", but we understand that is not feasible to everyone. So, we put a face to each name here.
Selena Alejo
Selena is a Commercial Lines Account Manager at our San Marcos office. What she enjoys most is building long term relationships with clients and being someone they can rely on. Businesses face a lot of uncertainty, and she likes knowing she's helping them protect what they’ve built and giving them the confidence to keep growing.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with my family and her three dogs Rolo, Cheeks, and Sassy Sue.
She's more of a home-cooked meal person and her husband does most of the cooking, so she's a bit spoiled there! But she does have a few local spots she enjoys visiting every now and then.
She highly recommends Comfort Café in Smithville, Texas. It’s part of a peer-to-peer recovery program and the staff is made up entirely of individuals who have gone through the program themselves. The food is excellent, and it supports a cause she's very passionate about - sobriety!

Kelsey Bowling
Kelsey is an Accounting Assistant based in the San Marcos office. She appreciates the family business culture at Germer Insurance Services and the emphasis it places on supporting the local community.
Kelsey graduated with her master’s degree from Texas State in 2023. Her hobbies include disc golf, crochet, and frequenting local coffee shops like Jo’s Cafe.

Greg Germer
The co-owner of Germer Insurance Services. Greg is originally from Seguin Texas and graduated from Seguin High School. After graduation, he attended Texas A&M University. After completing college, he immediately went to work in the insurance industry.
In 1998, he came to Bastrop to continue his insurance career and there he managed the Koehler Barton Insurance Agency.
In 2009 Greg and his brother, Gary Germer Jr., were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to buy the agency and thus create Germer Insurance Agency. Since then, the business has grown and we now have offices in San Marcos and Lockhart as well.
In Greg’s free time he enjoys golfing, traveling and pretty much anything to do with sports, whether it's basketball, softball, bowling, snow skiing or shooting pool, he likes it all.

Gary Germer, Jr.
The co-owner of Germer Insurance Services. Gary graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a BA in Political Science in 1995. He spent his first fourteen years out of college in corporate America with companies that included AT&T Wireless, Nokia Mobile Phones and T-Mobile USA. He held various positions in Sales and Sales Management and finished his corporate endeavor in Program Management in the National Sales Training division of T-Mobile USA.
Gary joined his brother, Greg Germer, in purchasing their first insurance agency in November of 2009. Since that time the brothers have purchased 6 other independent insurance agencies and consolidated them into three offices strategically located in Bastrop, Lockhart and San Marcos, Texas.
Gary loves to spend time with his family and his two Beagles. Maximillian (Max) and Alexander (Alex) are a major part of everything Gary does. Max is currently the company mascot for Germer Insurance Services and Rucker-Ohlendorf Insurance. He will soon be passing the reigns over to Alex as Max prepares for retirement at the age of 14.
Gary also enjoys traveling and spending as much time at the beach as he can fit in.

Georgia Hanks
As the Accounting Manager, she has been with Germer Insurance Services since her sons, Gary Germer Jr. and Greg Germer, purchased the company in 2009. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a BA in Business Administration.
Georgia’s favorite pastime is to spend time with her family; she also loves to travel, read, shop, and dance.

Corey Musick
Corey is the Vice President of Germer Insurance Services / Rucker-Ohlendorf Insurance and he rotates his office between all three of our locations. While at the office, he enjoys helping the team with tasks, assisting clients with questions about coverages, and working with our carrier partners to help build a stronger organization that is better suited to serve our clients.
He also takes advantage of the local cuisine between each office, visiting Pie Society in San Marcos, Terry Black’s Barbecue, and Maxine's Cafe and Bakery in Bastrop whenever he gets the chance. In his free time, Corey is an avid musician, playing the drums and guitar amongst a myriad of others, and he also likes to spend time outdoors hiking.

Carol Pennell
Carol is a Personal Lines Agent based out of our Bastrop Office. Over the almost ten years that Carol has worked for Germer Insurance Services, she says the relationships she has made with both clients and coworkers has been the most rewarding part.
When Carol is not working, she spending time with her many animals or working on art.

Austin Ranft
Austin is an accounting clerk based out of our San Marcos office. He enjoys the lively environment of the office and appreciates that everyone has a good time while they work. He also mentions that it's only a short 8 minute walk to The Taproom, which is a huge plus in his books.
Outside of the office, Austin likes to play tennis with his wife, watch movies, and volunteer in the community.

Natalie Roesler
Natalie is a personal lines account manager in our San Marcos office. She enjoys getting to know and help our clients.
When Natalie isn’t working, she is spending her spare time reading, painting, and watching Studio Ghibli movies with her two sons.

Camille Salyer
As a Personal Lines Agent out of our Lockhart Rucker-Ohlendorf office, she enjoys working with our awesome clients and appreciates Germer for its high values of morals, integrity, and care for people.
Camille loves watching sports, especially local high school football, cooking, and gardening but those all come second to spending time with her family and her new grandson Cooper. She says it is important to enjoy the little things in life because one day you will look back and realize they were big things.

I am someone who finds joy in the little things, like grabbing a delicious pizza at Loop and Lil’s or cruising around on my bike.
But beyond my love for good food and adventure, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community. Whether it’s lending a hand or simply being there for others, I strive in making a positive impact and connecting with those around me.
The blend of fun, service, and heart makes me someone people can count on.

Annabelle Wright
My name is Annabelle Wright and I am from a small town in North Texas called Vernon.
My parents both have backgrounds as independent P&C & Life & Health insurance agents here in THE Great State of Texas. I have two siblings an older sister with her husband and my niece who just lost her second tooth (Yesterday) and My little brother has my 4 year-old nephew who is named Richard and yes he does go by Dick.
I grew up in Campfire USA along with competing in 4-H and FFA clubs on top of the only girl in my welding class. I played varsity golf my freshman year and varsity tennis. While attending Community College in Vernon, Tx I got licensed in P&C at the age of 19. I started in commercial insurance and eventually moved into personal lines. My agency owner then sold his book of business and took me with him to his Crop Insurance Division in 2016 until Covid. In December of 2022.
I moved to Austin to work for Austin State Supported Living Center as a Direct Care Worker and eventually found myself back in the insurance industry doing what I love.
I am a member of The Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. My upcoming goals Include getting specialized in farm and ranch insurance and volunteering at a horse riding club here in the area,
